Sukainah Al Khalaf
Biography:
Sukainah is currently a PhD student at the School of Public Health, her PhD will focus on the impact of chronic hypertension on adverse perinatal outcomes and risk of cardiovascular disease in later life; her supervisory team includes Dr Ali Khashan, Dr Fergus McCarthy and Dr Elis O'Reilly.
Sukainah completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2010, and graduated from the UCC in 2014 with a Master of Public Health (advances Epidemiology & Biostatistics pathway). During her Masters she carried out a secondary analysis of the first and second wave of the Growing Up in Ireland data set, completing a thesis entitled, “The Impact of Mode of Delivery on Childhood Behavioural Outcomes”. Prior to starting a PhD, Sukainah worked as a lecturer at Saad College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Ulster University Partnership.
