Biography

David is a HRB SPHeRE (Structured Population and Health Services Research Education) PhD Scholar. He graduated with a Masters in Pharmacy (MPharm) in 2002 and has spent the past ten years working in community pharmacy. He completed a Master of Public health (MPH) in UCC in 2010. His Masters thesis was titled "The effect of the 50 cent charge on medication compliance with medical card holders in the community setting". In 2012 he worked as a Lecturer in Clinical Pharmacy at the School of Pharmacy in UCC. While there he completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education. David's other research interests include the deregulation of medicines from Prescription Only Medicine (POM) to Pharmacy (P) only status.
