The Book of Lismore, Leabhar Méig Carthaigh Riabhaigh, one of the most remarkable Irish manuscripts, and one of the very few remaining in private possession, has been donated to University College Cork by the Chatsworth Settlement Trust.

Prof. Pádraig Ó Macháin (IRC Advanced Laureate) at work on Irish manuscripts recently with colleagues from the Library of Congress (Dr Fenella France agus Meghan Wilson) and PhD student Veronica Biolcati. 

Dr Ailbhe Ní Ghearbhaigh is this year’s recipient of the prestigious O’Shaughnessy Award for Poetry. The award has been made for her book The Coast Road, and will be presented to her in April in the University of St Thomas in Minneapolis.
