The School of Medicine is based in Brookfield Health Sciences Complex, purpose-built healthcare teaching facility with state-of-the-art lecture theatres, seminar and tutorial rooms and clinical skills teaching rooms. The Clinical Skills unit has an advanced Human Patient Simulator and simulated hospital wards for clinical skills and Patient Safety training. Brookfield Health Sciences Complex also has an excellent medical library.
The science laboratories (including the renowned FLAME Anatomy lab) are located in the adjacent Western Gateway Building (linked to BHSC by a footbridge over the River Lee). Brookfield Campus is also home to ASSERT, an advanced simulation research centre.
From Masters Programmes to short courses, the School of Medicine at UCC can provide the rooms, equipment and technology you require. Panopto recording facilities are also available.
Medical Education Unit
The Medical Education Unit at UCC has a long history in best practice in medical education. This unit is staffed by experienced faculty who lead on a wide range of medical education and other research projects.
This team is available to advise and support you as you set up your programme and provide expertise in course design, curriculum delivery and assessment.
