Biography
Professor Gene Dempsey is the Dean/Head of the School of Medicine.
A UCC graduate, he completed his postgraduate training in Paediatrics in Ireland before undertaking a Neonatal Fellowship at McGill University Health Centre in Montreal. He is the inaugural Horgan Chair of Neonatology at UCC. He has a wealth of experience across clinical practice, research, education and academic leadership to this important role. He has an extensive international profile and longstanding commitment to UCC and the School of Medicine.
