Welcome to Mechanical Engineering in UCC

Mechanical Engineering forms an integral part of the School of Engineering in University College Cork and is coordinated by academic staff in the School of Engineering.

The School of Engineering has expertise in all major areas of Mechanical Engineering including Control, Fluid Dynamics, Heat Transfer, Materials, Mechanical Systems, Mechatronics, Robotics, and Thermodynamics. Mechanical Engineering modules are core to all of the undergraduate programmes in engineering offered by the School. 

The School offers postgraduate degrees in Mechanical Engineering by research to MEngSc and PhD level. Taught postgraduate degrees in Mechanical Engineering to MEngSc or Postgraduate Diploma level are also available.
