Translation Week 2025

International Translation Day is celebrated on 30th September, which is the feast of St Jerome – patron saint of translators. Researchers in Translation Studies in UCC’s School of Languages, Literatures and Cultures and CASiLaC’s Translation and Creative Practice research cluster have organized ‘Translation Week’, a series of events celebrating translation and translation studies. All are welcome.

Italian Film Festival Cork, 4-6 April 2025

The Department of Italian is delighted to announce the fourth edition of the N.I.C.E. Italian Festival in Cork running from 4-6 April at the Arc Cinema.  This year we have a vey exciting programme of films starting with the acclaimed director Paolo Sorrentino’s latest film Parthenope. The festival will be officially opened by H. E. Nicola Faganello, Italian Ambassador to Ireland. All films will be in Italian with English subtitles.
