Career Potential
History is everywhere and unavoidable. History is the branch of knowledge that deals with the study of the past and the record of previous events. History students become proficient at gathering, interpreting and evaluating a wide range of evidence. History is ‘alive’ – it connects things through time from the past to the present and students take a long view. Interpretations of the past must be persuasive and agree with the evidence and the wider context. Historical skills are prized in all walks of life and work. Historians progress in law, research, accountancy, journalism, politics, policymaking, teaching, administration, management and media.
