Fee Schedule 2025-2026

Fees outlined below are per academic year and students on a multi-year programme should note that fees are subject to change from year to year.

Capitation Fee

A Student Capitation Fee of €207 applies, which must be paid annually by all students. 

A proportion of the capitation fee, being €70, will apply to Research students which is not covered by Research funding and is payable by the student.

Notes

College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences Notes

• CACSSS1:PhD students who are approved for four years, are liable for the full fee for four years. Continuation fee of €1,700 applies for Year 5 and onwards.
• CACSSS2:For all masters, higher diploma and PG diploma international students will receive a scholarship based on GPA equivalent score of 10% for 2H1 and 20% for 1H1 equivalent. 
• CACSSS3:This course is only available to candidates who have already completed the HCI Pillar 1 Postgraduate Diploma in Geographical Information Systems.
• CACSSS4:The fee of €1,400 is per 15 credit module.

College of Business and Law Notes

• COBL1: PhD students who are approved for four years are liable for the full fee over four years - continuation fee €1,700 applies for Year 5 onwards. 
• COBL2: EU PhD BIS Year 1 will be €10,500 because of seminars delivered in Year 1. 
• COBL3: Annual Fee is €16,000 per year, for two years.
• COBL4: The CIPD subscription fee (€190) is included in the student fee.  
• COBL5: Law Graduates – 1 year full time, 2 years part time.
• COBL6: Non-Law Graduates, 2 years full time, 4 years PT
• COBL7: China based programme – Year 1 fee €30,000, Year 2 fee €27,000, Year 3 fee €26,000, Year 4 fee €25,000
• COBL8: It is compulsory to complete the Postgraduate Diploma in Supply Chain Management (Lean SCM Black Belt) before applying for the MSc course.

College of Medicine and Health Notes

• CoMH1: PhD students are liable for the full fee for four years. (Students registering for the fourth year of study, whose fees are not supported by external funding (e.g. through a government or research grant, or industry contract), may apply for a fee scholarship).
• CoMH2: PhD students pay a contribution fee of €1,700 p.a. for Year 5 and subsequent years.
• CoMH3: Doctor of Clinical Dentistry - Oral Surgery and Doctor of Clinical Dentistry -Orthodontics. A bench fee is also payable each year (in full annually by 31 October). The bench fee for 2025/2026 is €19,000.
• CoMH4: Students may be entitled to a discount on a quoted international fee depending on student registration date.
• CoMH5: Industrial Pharmacutics – MRes. In addition to the tuition fee, a bench fee is also payable of €5,000 (fulltime) / €2,500 (parttime).
• CoMH6: Clinical Trials (online) - Step progression 1. Cert €3,740, progress to 2. Postgrad Diploma €3,600, progress to 3. Masters €3,600. Total: €10,940
• CoMH7: Occupational Health - MSc (Online) - Fee outlined is for the full programme.
• CoMH8: Health and Wellbeing (online) - Step progressi 1. Cert €3,100, progress to 2. Postgrad Diploma €3,000, progress to 3. Masters €3,000. Total €9,100.
• CoMH9: MSCHQI – Yr2 fee of €4,600 is for EU students only, the NEU pay the full fee upfront.

College of Science, Engineering and Food Science Notes

• SEFS1: PhD students are liable for the full fee for four years. (Students registering for a fourth year of study, whose fees are not supported by external funding (e.g. through a government or research grant, or industry contract), may apply for a partial fee waiver). Students should contact their Department/School for further information. Non-EU PhD students may be eligible for a fee waiver scholarship to reduce the fee to EU level and should contact their Department/School for further information. PhD students pay a continuation fee of €1,700 pa for Year 5 and subsequent years.
• SEFS2: Masters by Research students are liable for the full fee for two years. (Students registering for a second year of study, whose fees are not supported by external funding (e.g. through a government or research grant, or industry contract), may apply for a partial fee waiver). Students should contact their Department/School for further information. Non-EU Masters by Research students may be eligible for a fee waiver scholarship to reduce the fee to EU level and should contact their Department/School for further information. Masters by Research students pay a continuation fee of €1,700 pa for Year 3 and subsequent years.
