Sarah Kelleher and Rachel Warriner, current and former PhD candidates in History of Art, launched Vox Materia by Alice Maher at the Crawford Gallery, Cork on 6 September 2018. The show was previously installed at the Source Arts Centre, Thurles, from 30 March to 5 May 2018.

Dr Mary Kelly (née Healy), Lecturer in History of Art, UCC, published a peer-reviewed journal article entitled ‘A Complaint with the Cadi, ca. 1896: an East/West Cultural Encounter’, in Cultural and Social History: The Journal of the Social History Society. Vol. 15, No. 1 (2018).

Dr Ann Murray, a graduate of our doctoral programme, published a collection of essays entitled Constructing the Memory of War in Visual Culture since 1914: The Eye on War (Routledge, 2018).

On 23 November 2017, Dara McGrath discussed Project Cleansweep: Beyond the Post-Military Landscape for History of Art.

Dr Kirstie North, part-time lecturer in History of Art, co-curated the exhibition Now Wakes the Sea, with Chris Clarke of the Glucksman Gallery.

In October 2016, Dr Sabine Kriebel published, with Andrés Mario Zervigón (Rutgers), a collection of essays entitled Photography and Doubt (Routledge, 2016).

On 28 September 2016, Professor Roger Benjamin (University of Sydney) delivered a public lecture entitled Exhibiting Biskra: Art, Photography & Tourism in an Algerian Oasis for History of Art.

On 7 April 2016, Briony Llewellyn delivered a lecture entitled An Orientalist case study: Cross-cultural threads in the images of John Frederick Lewis (1804-1876) for History of Art.

Mary Healy, Lecturer in History of Art, recently published an article on French Orientalist artist Marie Elisabeth Aimée Lucas-Robiquet (1858-1959) in Women's Studies: An Inter-Disciplinary Journal.

On 11th March 2016, Dr Mary Healy, guest co-ordinator and Lecturer of the module HA2013 Representations, held an online student workshop with the Research Department of MATHAF: Arab Museum of Modern Art, Qatar.

On 20 April 2015, Professor Tamar Garb (University College London) delivered a public lecture entitled Retrotopia: Secretly I Will Love you More for History of Art.

On 13 November 2014, Prof Nicholas Alfrey (Nottingham) delivered a lecture entitled Land art in Britain: Nancy Holt and Richard Long in the West Country for History of Art.

‌The Italian edition of Lippo di Dalmasio by UCC's Flavio Boggi, with Robert Gibbs (Glasgow), was published by Bononia University Press.

Sabine Kriebel launched Revolutionary Beauty: The Radical Photomontages of John Heartfield (University of California Press) at the Wandesford Quay Gallery, Cork on 2 June 2014.
