CLEAR kicks off

25 Jan 2024

The CLEAR training network was launched in Copenhagen on Monday 15th January 2024. The project is coordinated by Professor Hanne Ingmer of the University of Copenhagen. The principal investigators met for two days to plan the research programme.

In the CLEAR (Cell Envelope Anti-bacterials) training network, world-leading researchers from academia have gathered with clinicians and 4 highly relevant SME partners to train a new generation of excellent European scientists in finding novel solutions for targeting the cell envelope of bacteria, with the objective of bringing novel antimicrobial solutions to the market. The research will be conducted by 10 PhD students located in laboratories from around Europe, with one student based in APC Microbiome Ireland under the supervision of Professor Colin Hill.
