Thinking about UCC? Please navigate the below page to learn more about additional supports and services available to incoming Single Semester students looking for accommodation.

General Advice For Single Semester Students

Single-semester students are eligible for our accommodation support/placement service. However, finding accommodation independently can be more challenging, so we recommend exploring all available options.

Accommodation Options to Consider

✔ Private Student Complexes – Some private student accommodation providers offer single-semester bookings. These include:

  • Copley Court
  • Yugo
  • The Spires
  • Bottleworks

See our Private Student Complexes Information page for further deatils/contacts for the above Complexes and many others.

✔ UCC StudentPad – Some landlords list single-semester accommodation on UCC StudentPad.

✔ Short-Term Accommodation Providers – A few companies in Cork offer flexible, short-term rental agreements.

✔ Private Rentals & Digs – Many students find affordable rooms in shared houses or owner-occupied accommodation. You can search for these options via:

Accommodation Placement Service

The UCC Accommodation & Community Life Office operates a centralised placement/support service for incoming International and Erasmus students.

Once your application to UCC has been confirmed by the International Office, you will receive an email with a link to our online accommodation application form. Upon submission, we will refer your details to one of our partner accommodation providers, who will then issue an offer.

Please note: You cannot apply for this service until you have officially accepted your offer to study at UCC.

Key Information About This Service

  • We do our best to assist all applicants, but accommodation is not guaranteed.
  • You should continue searching for accommodation independently while awaiting an offer.
  • Complete the application form as soon as you receive the link to maximise your chances.
  • Offers will be issued directly by the accommodation providers, not by our office.
  • The placement process takes several months—please don’t be alarmed if there is a delay between updates.
  • We collaborate with several private providers to secure accommodation for students.
  • Students will receive only one accommodation offer—there are no multiple options.

If you have any questions regarding the service, please see our contact details below!
