What Is Mature Student Support at UCC?
Our mission is to support all mature students in UCC studying for full-time undergraduate degrees. We offer a wide range of support and initiatives designed for mature students to enhance their mature student experience at UCC. Our office is a place where mature students can come to be listened to and ask questions in an open, non-judgmental and empathetic environment. We advise mature students on how best to use the student services available within UCC. We provide mature student-specific support responding to the diverse and unique needs of all our mature students.
What Support Can The Mature Student Service Provide?
- Our hosted events - from tea/ coffee drop-in chats to reconnection events will be announced on your Canvas platform
- Orientation for Mature Students include academic skills sessions to help you make a smart start at UCC.
- We offer extra tutorials (when possible) to support you with specific modules or subjects
- Support provided by your Mature Student Support Officer.
How Do I Book An Appointment With The Mature Student Support Officer?
Registered students who would like to make an appointment with a Mature Student Support Officer can do this via the Mature Student Canvas page. Please make sure to use your UCC Umail email address when booking.
How Can I Contact Mature Student Support?
Mature Student Support is located in the Access Office on the 1st floor, The Hub Building, UCC Main Campus, College Road, Cork.
If you have queries then email mso@ucc.ie with your UCC Student Number and we endeavour to get back to you within 1-2 working days, during regular daytime office hours.
