SOE Professor Edmond Byrne delivers SEFI2023 keynote
Professor Edmond Byrne of Process and Chemical Engineering, delivered an invited keynote address to the 51st Annual SEFI (Société Européenne pour la Formation des Ingénieurs) Conference, which was held at TU Dublin from 11-14 September 2023. SEFI is the European society for engineering education and the theme for SEFI2023, its 50th anniversary conference, was "Engineering Education for Sustainability".
The keynote paper, entitled "Contemporary landscape, drivers and developments in engineering education for sustainability", was well received by over 550 engineering education delegates from across Europe and beyond, including the CEO of ABET and the Director General of Engineers Ireland, who were gathered in Dublin to consider contemporary and future trends and imperatives across engineering education.
