2nd Ireland-China Forum for PhD Students
The 2nd Forum for Ireland-China PhD students was successfully held in the Western Gateway Building, UCC on 4-5 November at UCC and was chaired by Dr Guangbo Hao, School of Engineering. There were about 80 attendees in total. 56 papers were orally presented by PhD students in 13 parallel sessions, along with 4 invited talks and 1 special session.
The four invited talks were given by Prof. B. Wu from the Technological University Dublin, Prof. Y. Jin from Queen's University Belfast, Prof. L. Qian (ERC awardee) from University College Cork, and Prof. F. Qiu from University College Dublin (ERC awardee). After the conference, a Tyndall visit was arranged for some PhD students.
The third Forum of Ireland-China PhD students will be held in TCD in 2024.
