This is an opportunity for a translator to travel to Ireland and live and work in Cork City.

The seminar "Ditadura Nunca Mais/Dictatorship Never Again" examines the consequences of dictatorship in Brazil and the Americas on the occasion of the anniversary of the 1964 Military Coup in Brazil. The event will be hybrid and will include four interventions (two in Portuguese, two in English) by four guest speakers. 

Organised by the IRC Laureate Consolidator ARTFICTIONS project and the BA in Portuguese Studies team.

The Irish Centre for Galician Studies and the research cluster Translation and Creative Practice (CASiLaC, UCC) warmly invite you to the half-day symposium Poetry and Translation in Contemporary Galicia, featuring readings and discussions with acclaimed writers and translators Isaac Xubín, Keith Payne and Luisa Castro.

You are warmly invited to witness the Animal-Woman Journey(s) audio-visual installation with durational performance. This installation re-imagines folk tales about Animal-Women whose magical skins are lost, stolen or destroyed and is part of a practice inclusive PhD project created by Roksana Niewadzisz and funded by Irish Research Council.
