Science Week 2025
Science Week, taking place from 9-16 November 2025, is a national celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths, with events for people of all ages. UCC will participate in and host a range of events as part of Science Week. Join us as we celebrate the wonder of science in our everyday lives. Check this page regularly for updates.

| 9 Nov 2025 | 11am | Science at the Marina Market | Renowned spectacle theatre company, Macnas, makes its Cork premiere at Marina Market, Cork, for Science Week 2025. On Sunday, 9th November, Macnas will bring its vibrant troupe of drummers, stilt walkers, and puppets to Cork city to tell a powerful story about biodiversity loss and the gradual disappearance of the corncrake across Ireland. Featuring nine life-sized skeleton casts, including the Irish dinosaurs Megalosaurus and Scelidosaurus plus the dinosaur Iguanodon, marine reptiles and pterosaurs, the flying cousins of dinosaurs.
