With a significant footprint in Ireland- including major manufacturing, research, commercial and financial operations across multiple locations- Pfizer plays a vital role in supporting both global health and local communities.

This bursary is established to recognise Paul Duffy’s exceptional leadership throughout his career in Pfizer. Given Paul’s strong track record for championing individuals, this bursary will support students who face additional challenges which impact their studies.

Eligibility

Students who:

  1. have successfully completed the 3rd year of the BSc Chemistry, BSc CFS and BSc CPC
  2. achieved at least 2H overall in Third Year Examination
  3. faced additional challenges throughout their studies e.g. serious illness, disability, neurodiversity
  4. are registered with Disability Support Service or can provide documentary evidence of leave or personal circumstances to support their application are eligible to apply for this bursary.

Students who wish to apply for this bursary must write a reflective piece (500-1000 words) describing

  • their experience as a student and how they addressed the challenges they faced.
  • the challenges anticipated during the final year of the programme and how support from this bursary would help them.

Applications will be assessed by a selection committee comprising of the Chair of the EDI committee, Head of School and Vice Head of School.
