Honouring the legacy of Professor William Kearney, this prestigious award is presented to the top medical student in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at University College Cork. A pioneer in maternal and neonatal care, Dr. Kearney led the development of Cork’s dedicated maternity hospitals and championed safer childbirth. His enduring impact continues to inspire excellence in obstetric practice.
It will be awarded to the student who achieved the highest overall academic performance in Obstetrics and Gynaecology during the final year of medical school.
