The Ella Dalton Memorial Fund

- You must be a current UCC Student that entered UCC from Regina Mundi to be eligible for this scholarship

In 2022, 17-year-old Ella Dalton sadly passed away suddenly while in school at Regina Mundi. To honour her memory, her family and friends organised extensive fundraising efforts in her memory.
It was Ella's dream to one day be a student at UCC. In life, Ella was dedicated to helping and supporting her peers. The establishment of this Memorial Fund will allow Ella’s legacy to continue by celebrating the achievements of her fellow Regina Mundi students, ensuring her spirit of support lives on.
Eligibility to apply
All first-year students from Regina Mundi who have entered UCC will be eligible to apply for the fund.
Selection
Essay competition
- “What UCC means to me” in recognition of the importance of studying in UCC meant to Ella.
- Essays will be adjudicated by the Cork University Foundation and the Advancement Office.
- Please submit your essay via Word or PDF by email to Carol Walsh carolwalsh@ucc.ie along with your name, student number, and the name of the College and degree programme you are registered for. The particulars will be regarded as STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL.
