Biography
My research interest focus on turning ornithological research into practical management practices able to support wildlife-human coexistence.
I have an academic background in ecological engineering, with a specialisation in ecosystem management and restoration.
For my master's research, I analysed nest-camera footage to study red-billed choughs breeding in buildings in co. Cork.
Before starting my PhD, I started my training as a bird ringer and worked as a tern warden on Rockabill, co. Dublin, and in Kilcoole, co. Wicklow, with BirdWatch Ireland. I also volunteered abroad on various conservation projects, in particular Ebony Forest in Mauritius, where I was involved in habitat restoration and monitoring of endangered endemic bird species.
