History of Motley

Motley is UCC's official student publication. It was founded in 2006 by the UCC Journalism and Media Society. It later became an official student publication and is published regularly during term time. Distributed free across campus, Motley has built a strong reputation for pop culture, art and music coverage.

Motley has won the SMEDIA 'Best Magazine' award four years in a row from 2014 to 2017. 

Motley's Mission

Motley is Cork’s culture magazine, a space for art, music, and creativity in all its forms. A motley of ideas led by UCC students, it is made for Cork and beyond - celebrating voices, stories, and imagination.
