Adult Continuing Education (ACE) at University College Cork is a partner in MESHE, a European project coordinated by the European University Continuing Education Network (eucen). MESHE aims to help learners understand the opportunities offered by micro-credentials and to support collaboration between higher education institutions across Europe.

UCC’s contribution

ACE is contributing to the first phase of the project through focus groups, questionnaires and a transversal analysis of learners’ experiences. This work examines the challenges, needs and motivations of adults considering further learning, including micro-credentials.

Recent News

• In September 2026, the ACE team is presenting the transversal analysis at a project meeting in Brussels. The partners are now moving into the next stage: developing an advocacy pack informed by the findings.
