Guide to Accessing the DetectedX Learning Platform
What is DetectedX?
DetectedX is a medical imaging educational platform that provides an online option to interact with high quality radiological imaging. DetectedX is a start-up medical education technology company created at the University of Sydney that transforms disease detection through intelligent, interactive, web-based educational programs for any clinician or student interested in medical imaging. DetectedX was founded by Professor Patrick Brennan, Professor Mary Rickard and Dr Moe Suleiman in 2019.
Today, DetectedX has over 3,000 users across 150 countries.
What You’ll Find on DetectedX
DetectedX offers several types of learning resources:
- Self-Assessment Modules: Practice diagnosing lesions in breast and chest images, and assess radiographic techniques.
- Quizzes: Quick 15-minute case-based quizzes with interesting, hand-picked cases.
- On-Demand Lectures: Topics include breast and chest imaging, physics, radiographic techniques, and more.
How to Access DetectedX
1. Go to the Website
Open your browser (like Chrome) and search "Detected X" or use https://www.detectedx.com.
2. Login
Click the Login / Signup button at the top right.


Once logged in, you’ll be able to access all content.
Finding Content
You can filter content by:
- Body Part (e.g., chest, breast)
- Modality (e.g., CT, MRI)
- Principles (e.g., technique, physics)
For example, if you are on the Computed Tomography pathway then you may wish to filter content by Modality-CT:


Using DetectedX with Canvas
Your Canvas modules will guide you to the right DetectedX content. Keep in mind that DetectedX is updated regularly, so new material may appear over time.
