Being Gay and Grey

During the recent Cork LGBTQI+ Awareness week, held across the city, two of the UCC LGBT Staff Network's founding members were honoured in a special award ceremony. 

As part of the "Being Gay and Grey" event, which heard from older members of the LGBT community on the issues that they will encounter now and into the future, a special commemorative award ceremony was held. Our very own Cathal Kerrigan and Joan McCarthy were both honoured for their monumental activism over the years on behalf of the community.
