'Defining Lines' - an exhibition of photography by Christian Waeber, 26 June - 31 July 2013 (prolongation until Friday 30th August 2013)
The Jennings Gallery will open ‘Defining Lines’ an exhibition of photography by Christian Waeber, on Wednesday June 26th 2013 at 6pm.
This new exhibition of work from locations in North America, Europe and in studio has a particular relevance not only for photographers but also for those interested in the visual arts as practitioners of medicine and health. It reflects the commitment of the Gallery to support the strategic initiative of the College of Medicine and Health to more closely integrate the arts and humanities into the education of medical and allied health professionals.
Here, the discourse of the human body as a physical entity is transformed from notions of subjectivity through the praxis of care and healing.
Christian Waeber will give a short seminar ‘The Representation of the Human Body in Fine Art Photography’ at 5pm immediately preceding the opening in Lecture Theatre G.04, Brookfield Health Sciences Complex, UCC.
