European Star Teacher Awards

We are particularly proud of having so many teachers who have been implementing BFGTOEU in their classrooms for several years. To reward this loyalty and the amazing work done by the teachers with their students, teachers achieve a European Star Teacher Award once they meet the following criteria:

1. To implement BFGTOEU for 3 years in their classroom

2. To complete one BFGTOEU training course, whether it is EPV approved or not, over a period of three years

3. To share the lesson engagement through social media or the school website

We were delighted that Simon Coveney TD, Minister for Foreign Affairs, was able to present our six European Star Teacher Awards in November 2022 at the launch of the Hub in Active European Citizenship. 

European Citizenship Education Awards for Schools

There are three European Citizenship Education Awards that schools implementing BFGTOEU can achieve.

Gold Standard - Expert European Citizenship Education Award

Silver Standard - Eager European Citizenship Education Award

Bronze Standard - Emerging European Citizenship Education Award
