Ireland’s Fossil Heritage ran the second National Fossil Photo Contest in September 2024. The theme of the contest was Irish fossils – Hidden Treasures, and it was open to anyone aged 18 years or over living in Ireland.  

Prizes were awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place with five Highly Commended places also selected. All winners received a voucher and a high-resolution foamcore print of their winning photo. The winning artworks were featured in a public exhibition at Cork City Public Library and Mayfield Library in November 2024.
