WARNING! This is a shoreface location so please check weather conditions and tides before you visit. Full access to the rocks containing the fossils at this location is only possible at low tide. You can access this part of the coast by either walking west from Ballintoy Harbour at 55.244738, -6.3692261 along the well worn walking path. This is an easy walk but the terrain is uneven in places and access includes climbing through several styles. You can alternatively access these rocks by walking east along Whitepark beach.

There very low lying exposures of black soft Jurassic mudstone here under the white chalk cliffs. The Jurassic mud is often obscured under boudlers and is only accessible at low tide. You will see multiple fossils sticking out of the mudstone here including Gryphaea, small (
