WARNING! This is a rocky coastal location with uneven terrain and unprotected steep drops. Full access to the rocks containing the fossils at this location is possible only at low tide. Take care as rocks can become slippery when wet. Park at the narrow lay-by at 53.159244, -9.100862, space for 1 – 2 cars. Carefully walk onto the low-lying rocks along the coast.
Fossil Info
The fossils found here are large colonial corals. They are a light grey colour compared to the darker limestones, and appear similar to polka dots (colonies) in the rock.
