Overview of services provided

The Payroll Office is responsible for the following activities;

  • Payment of weekly and monthly wages and salaries of permanent, casual, temporary and contract staff
  • Payment of studentships
  • Payment of Pensions
  • Remittance of tax and PRSI deductions to the Inspector of taxes
  • Maintenance of individual staff records
  • Dealing with all staff queries relating to tax and PRSI deductions from salary
  • Dealing with the office of the Inspector of taxes
  • Dealing with the Department of Social Protection (Social Welfare)
  • Salary deductions to relevant authorities
  • Health Insurers – UCC has a group scheme with the following Health Insurance Providers - see below for details
  • Employee Savings Schemes - see below for details

 Your annual premium can be paid through payroll on a monthly/weekly basis. Payroll can only process the deductions as given to us by the relevant Health Care insurer directly. It is the responsibility of each employee to ensure that their premium is as per their correspondence from the company.

 

Employee Savings Schemes - UCC provides two saving schemes for employees to save a set amount each month/week

 

1) Permanent TSB - please provide sort code and account number along with monthly/weekly amount.

2) The Lough Credit Union - deduction forms available from Payroll or The Lough Credit Union. Please note that this savings scheme is only available with The Lough Credit Union. All UCC staff members can join The Lough Credit Union because UCC is situated in their catchment area.
