The Cork Smart Gateway is an initiative funded by Cork City Council, Cork County Council and University College Cork. The Cork Smart Gateway is also further supported by a wider steering group consisting of The Tyndall National Institute, Nimbus Research Centre, Cork Chamber, Tech Industry Alliance and Energy Cork.

The objectives of the CSG are to:

• Identify and support relevant smart initiatives through stakeholder collaboration.
• Inform, educate and raise capacity of stakeholders to realise this vision.
• Encourage an open and innovative ecosystem.
• Promote Cork as a top-class innovative and smart region.
