Overview
Various research activities within the APC produce large data sets which require down-stream processing, such as sequence assembly and annotation of individual genomes, metagenomic data sets, RNA-Seq, and microbiota-derived 16S rRNA amplicon sequence data sets. The BioIT Platform Technology provides expertise pertinent to primary information from these genomics, transcriptomics and metagenomics activities, in particular regarding the processing and interpretation of associated data sets. The activities of the BioIT platform not only support particular Specific Aims of the Targeted Projects, but also provide in-house training opportunities and bioinformatics support to participating industries to facilitate genome sequencing and microbiota analysis.
