In August 2024, Dr Ashleigh Byrne-O’Brien sadly passed away at just 38. A much-loved Research and Innovation Coordinator in UCC’s College of Medicine and Health, Ashleigh was known for her kindness, warmth, and dedication.
In her memory, her husband, family, and friends established this fund to support research projects in the areas Ashleigh was most passionate about. The fundraising journey continues through a series of events held in Ashleigh's memory. The next event is the Kilworth Backyard Ultra, where participants will take on the unique endurance challenge.
