A new, free exhibition at UCC shines a light on the story behind one of Ireland’s most iconic documents, focusing not on its words, but on the people who made its existence possible. Before it could be read aloud, it had to be printed, quietly, urgently, and under immense risk.

At UCC, great ideas can come from anywhere. The UCC Alumni Fund is a result of the collective generosity of alumni and friends, whose many individual contributions come together to create meaningful impact. Through the Fund, students, staff, and faculty are empowered to bring forward project proposals that enhance the UCC student experience in meaningful ways, going beyond the scope of the government grant, which unfortunately does not go far enough in funding the urgent needs of the university and our students.

The GAA has announced a new partnership with UCC to publish an Atlas of the GAA, a major new publication that will explore, map and celebrate the cultural significance of the organisation both nationally and internationally.

It’s a big year of anniversaries with many reunions already planned, including a 50-year reunion for BComm 1977; a 40-year reunion for BE (Electrical and Electronic Engineering) 1986 and a 30-year reunion for BCL 1996.
