UCC welcomed AIB CEO Colin Hunt to campus for a special event to mark the appointment of Professor Valeria Andreoni, the university’s new AIB Professor in Sustainable Business.

The UCC remembrance bench has been officially unveiled. In memory of the students, staff and alumni of UCC who have passed, this new bench will provide a place to honour their memory and legacy.

UCC is pleased to announce that its new riverside walkway has been named The Cavanagh Way. At a recent event on campus, members of the Cavanagh family officially opened The Cavanagh Way in memory of the late Tom and Marie Cavanagh. 

ELEVATE, a ground-breaking five-year initiative, has been funded under the Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) Strategic Partnership Programme (€5 million), with co-funding partner The Cerebral Palsy Foundation (CPF) providing support of over €6 million. The programme will be led by the Irish Centre for Maternal and Child Health Research (INFANT) at UCC, partnering with RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences, Trinity College Dublin and all the tertiary-level maternity hospitals in Ireland.

On 28 November, UCC alumni and friends showed their spirit and generosity for the university’s first #GivingTuesday. Thank you to the 174 donors around the world who generously donated over €22,000 in support of the UCC Alumni Fund. 

Financial services firm Provest has committed to providing two bursaries to help students complete their studies at UCC through the university’s Access UCC PLUS Programme. 

Irish financial services firm FDC Group, acknowledged among Ireland's top ten accounting firms, and UCC have announced the renewal of their successful scholarship programme.

UCC and Deloitte Ireland have agreed a partnership that will see Deloitte sponsor a range of educational activities as part of a multi-annual agreement. This will build on Deloitte’s and UCC’s strong existing links and Deloitte's commitment to the Munster region.
