Ornithologist and wildlife sound-recordist Seán Ronayne was among those honoured at UCC’s Alumni Achievement Awards. 

The launch of the UCC Cork Alumni Club brought graduates from across the decades together for a warm and vibrant evening celebrating connection, community and the future of alumni engagement in Cork.

Thanks to donations to the UCC Alumni Fund, a new Sustainability & Wellbeing Collection is now live in UCC Library.

2024–2025 was a year of meaningful impact across the University, with philanthropy supporting a wide range of initiatives spanning research, student support, sustainability and the arts. 

2026 is scheduled to be a year of big anniversaries with many reunions already planned, including a 50 year Golden Jubilee for the Classes of 1976; a 20 year reunion for BComm 2006; and 30 year reunions for BCL 1996 and Medicine 1996.

The Glucksman Gallery's exhibition Domain of the Dinosaurs features over 250 real fossil specimens from land, sea and air, making it the largest dinosaur exhibition ever in Ireland.

Eating high-fat, high-sugar foods in childhood may have lasting effects on how the brain controls eating habits later in life, according to new research from APC Microbiome Ireland, a Research Ireland centre at UCC.

Europe under siege", brought together Mike O'Sullivan (Author, Speaker) and Professor Andrew Cottey (Government and Politics at UCC), for a discussion chaired by Professor Theresa Reidy (Head of UCC's School of Society, Politics and Ethics) for a thought-provoking discussion.
