The Brief

To develop a business case for the establishment at UCC/MUH/CUH of a Clinical Trials Unit.

The Work

• To carry out extensive desk research on international best practice in this field
• Through a series of interviews and interim reports, to assist the client to develop a feasible model, including initial set-up and build costs, and on-going operational income and expenditure analysis
• To liaise with other stakeholders (e.g. Buildings and Estates) to get their input into the proposal

The Result

The analysis and report acted as a catalyst for further work towards the creation of a Clinical Research Facility.
