Sharlene Barry holds a Bachelor of Arts from NUI Galway and a Masters in Regional and Urban Planning from University College Dublin. In 2017, Sharlene completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management at the University of the West of England Bristol (UWE Bristol) and is an Associate Member of the CIPD. 

Since 2010, Sharlene has worked in the UK education sector. Sharlene held the position of Centre Director with Explore Learning and had notable success in transformational management, winning awards for retention, sales and customer service. Since 2013, Sharlene has worked as an External Relations Project Development and People Manager at UWE Bristol working with local, national and international employers to deliver a range of employability projects, supporting employer’s talent and business development objectives while enhancing student employability outcomes. 

Joining UCC Academy in 2021, Sharlene brings extensive experience in people management, project management, business development and relationship management. Sharlene is initially working to support project provision within the Office of Corporate and Legal Affairs.
