Niall Kelly holds a BA from UCC in English and Geography, as well as a MSc in Environmental Policy from UCD. He also holds a Diploma in Project Management from UCD, PRINCE 2 Practitioner and Lean Six Sigma White Belt certification.​

​Niall has developed his career working in Project Management within a range of industries including Transport, IT, Utilities and Business Optimisation. Initially, as a Project Administrator for the Head of PMO with the National Transport Authority (NTA), Niall's key focus was project governance, process improvements, and project reporting at stakeholder and portfolio level. Niall was also a support for yearly project budget reviews and assisted with the management of project intake and the department’s project pipeline. From here, Niall progressed to a Junior Project Manager responsible for the delivery of transformative projects at a national level within the Transport Sector and also with internal strategic development and optimisation.​

​Since joining UCC Academy in 2023, Niall has both supported and led key projects across UCC, including Integrated Research Governance, HEA: Building and Estates Space Utilisation Survey, Library 5 year plan and strategic development, launching of the Business Engagement portal and COMH Cancer Centre. ​
