Michelle Cronin
Michelle Cronin graduated from Griffith College Cork with Diplomas in Business Studies and Marketing, PR, Sales and Advertising. Michelle has worked in Project Management for over 10 years, is PRINCE2 qualified, has completed PMBOK PMP training, is a PROSCI certified Change Practitioner and holds a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification.
Prior to joining UCC Academy, Michelle was a Project Manager in a leading provider of Customer and Business Process Management (BPM) and Outsourcing (BPO) Services. She worked on a variety of projects across utilities, health, government and financial services. Some projects included contact centre and business set-ups, technology deliveries, space utilisation and facilities projects, as well as continuous business improvement projects.
In 2017, Michelle joined the UCC Academy project team and was appointed to work on two change management projects within the College of Medicine and Health – the Cork University Clinical Medical School (CUCMS@CUH) and Cork University Dental School and Hospital (CUDSH) new build projects. From 2019-2022, she was deployed as full time Project Manager on the CUDSH Project.
Since 2022, Michelle has supported a number of projects across UCC; she has managed process optimisation projects and conducted efficiency reviews for the Irish Management Institute. She has completed an assessment of compliance of the Official Languages Amended Act 2003-2021 against current practice within UCC and identified corrective actions to enhance the visibility of the Irish language and align UCC's practices with legislative requirements. Michelle is currently supporting project work for the Vice President Global Engagement and is supporting the Sports Capital Project to develop UCC’s outdoor sports facilities.
