Staff Visit: UCC Hosts Marta Jeżykowska from University of Łódź

The UNIC office recently teamed up with the International Office to host Marta Jeżykowska, who visited University College Cork from the University of Łódź, Poland on July 10th - 13th, 2023. The University of Łódź is one of the UNIC partner universities.

As an Educational Projects Specialist in the International Office at the University of Łódź, Marta's work primarily involves promoting international staff and student integration as well as supporting the development of Erasmus+ capacity-building project proposals. 

A schedule for the visit both connected Marta with colleagues working in a similar role, but also demonstrated the many strands of international student and staff support in UCC. Marta met with UCC colleagues in Student Recruitment, the International Office, OVPRI, the Events Team, the UNIC core office, Peer Support, the Students' Union, Alumni and Development and more. 

The meetings proved valuable and interesting both for UCC staff and for Marta, who commented positively on the friendly welcome from everyone she met as well as some of the simple yet effective work processes and ideas shared.
