Save the Date! 14th Nov 2017 - UCC hosting Bridge Network Invention of the Year Awards
It’s time to announce the winners! UCC is hosting the Bridge Network Invention of the Year awards in UCC on Tuesday, 14th November at 4pm in the Western Gateway Building. This is the 10th Anniversary of the event.
From a pool of over 100 inventions, 12 inventions from across the Bridge Network consortium members were shortlisted. These were presented and evaluated by an external judging panel. [Thank you to all involved for their time, effort and enthusiasm in that]. The panel noted that the standard of presentations was excellent and how much they enjoyed the discussions that followed them.
Now it’s time to announce the winners!
We will be joined by the Vice President for Research & Innovation for the occasion and I am delighted that the Founder of one of our very successful recent spinout companies, Barry Skillington of Atlantia Food Clinical Trials, will be joining us. He will be outlining the journey the founders have taken from UCC staff with an idea to a growing profitable company based here in Cork. Read more about Atlantia here
