How to Get to Cork
Cork is easily reached by air, rail, and bus. Cork Airport has regular connections to major UK and European cities, with frequent bus and taxi links to the city centre. If travelling from Dublin, Irish Rail and Expressway coaches offer direct routes to Cork (approx. 2.5–3 hours).
Reaching University College Cork
UCC is a short distance from the city centre and well served by public transport. • Bus routes 205 and 208 stop directly outside or within a few minutes’ walk of campus. • TFI Bikes offer convenient short‑term rentals, including 3‑day subscriptions, with several docking stations near UCC. Walking from the city centre takes around 20–25 minutes.
Accommodation
Cork offers a wide range of accommodation options, from hotels and guesthouses to budget‑friendly hostels. We recommend booking early, as September is a busy period in the city. Areas close to UCC (Western Road, Washington Street, Mardyke) or the city centre provide the easiest access to the conference venue.
