We are happy to visit your school and talk to Leaving Cert, 5th Year or Transition Year groups, or if you are organising a parents information evening we would be happy to deliver a presentation about UCC to parents.

We offer four distinct presentations for the following groups:

1. Leaving Certificate students: a short overview of all courses on offer at UCC, and information on choosing degree courses and the transition to University life
2. Fifth year students: covers information on all courses, entry requirements, student life and support services
3. Transition Year students: covers relevant subjects, detailed information on entry requirements, and an overview of all our courses
4. Parents: covers the transition to university, a summary of entry requirements, finance and grants at third level, career planning and first year support.

Schools Liaison Ambassadors

In the 2012/13 school year, we have a team of Schools Liaison Ambassadors ready to go out to visit their old schools or other nearby schools, to talk to senior cycle students about their experiences at UCC. Schools Liaison Ambassadors will generally talk for one class period and will always stick to their own experiences - their visits are not intended to be in place of a visit from a UCC staff member or the Schools Liaison Officer. If you would like a visit from a Schools Liaison Ambassador, please contact

School Visits to Campus

The Spring Open Day will be held on Friday 19 April 2013. This day is aimed specifically at registered school groups of Transition Year and/or fifth-year students, who must be supervised by at least one guidance counsellor throughout their visit. All schools will recieve a registration form for this event in February. We post to all schools on the CAO mailing list. Please have your registration form back on time - closing date - 11 March.

We also welcome school groups on weekdays throughout the year. We will organise a presentation and our Student Ambassadors will give a tour of campus.
