Tara Dowds graduated from the University of Queensland in 2001 with a Bachelor of Speech and Language Pathology. In 2002 she came to Ireland and began working as a Speech and Language Therapist and in 2007 she joined the Practice Education Team as a Practice Tutor. She completed a postgradua te module in the UCC Advanced Healthcare Programme in 2007. Tara is also a registered nurse who graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing (Distinction) from Queensland University of Technology in 1994. She is a member of the Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists.
