Park by the castle and walk down to the beach along the slip to the North of the castle

The rocks along the slip and on the beach are rich in brachiopods, gastropods, bryozoans and long crinoids stems up to ca. 20 cm. Less common fossils are the small branching trace fossil Chondrites. Many of the fossils are easier to see in the dark muddy layers. Fossils also occur in thin bands.
