Parking is available at the southern end of Rosses Point Beach. Follow the short grassy path or the slightly longer paved path to the ramp which descends to the beach. Follow the beach passed the beach buoy to the rocky outcrop at the north end of Rosses Point Beach at the apex of the headland and following the curve of the headland to the rocky outcrops which contain numerous fossil corals as well as less abundant brachiopods. WARNING: This is a rocky coastal location with uneven terrain on the rocky outcrop. Please check weather conditions and take care as the rocks become slippery when wet.
Fossil Info
The fossils are here are relatively poorly preserved but abundant. The best preserved solitary corals are white and grey in darker grey limestone.
