There are fossils all over the castle walls, with greater abundance on both sides of the wall across the interior entrance (where the ticket booth is). There are also fossil-rich rocks on the north bank as the castle grounds meet the lake, as well as trace-fossil-rich slabs at the southern part of the castle marina (where the lake tours start).
