Access Info
Coastal low-lying limestone outcrops. Park (for free) on Burrow Road. There is a sandy trackway that leads directly to the beach. Walk along the beach to the south, to the rocky outcrops. The fossiliferous exposures are to the west of Claremount Tower. WARNING! This is a rocky coastal location with uneven terrain. Take care as rocks can become slippery when wet. Full access to the rocks containing the fossils at this location is only possible at low tide.

It is easiest to see the fossils at the base of the outcrops, where the rock is smooth. The goniatites and orthocones are visible in the very low exposures to the west of Claremount Tower.
